Despite the disruption of the Spring 2020 semester due to COVID-19, the transition to online classes and the closure of the campus, EWC athletes excelled in the classroom.
"This is both a tribute to the student athletes themselves for overcoming this obstacle, and the Lancer Coaches for the recruitment and mentoring of the EWC student athletes," said EWC Athletic Director Tom Andersen. "The EWC faculty and staff must also be thanked and recognized for the tremendous job they have done in adjusting with the changes forced upon them by this pandemic. "

"EWC and the community of Torrington should be extremely proud of these accomplishments," continued Andersen. "In addition EWC will have numerous athletes honored as Academic All Region 9, and Academic All Americans when those awards are announced."
