TORRINGTON, Wyo. – Eastern Wyoming College (EWC) Rodeo is excited to announce the addition of Kutter Acord, a skilled saddle bronc rider and team roper from Hyannis, Nebraska, to the Lancer Rodeo Team for the Fall 2025 season.
Acord brings a wealth of experience and talent to the team and will be studying welding at EWC. He is eager to balance his passion for rodeo with his academic pursuits in the college’s strong welding program.
“The program, both welding and rodeo, at EWC are a good fit for me,” Acord said. “The facilities are very good and the people are good.”
EWC Rodeo Coach Whit Peterson is thrilled to have Acord join the team and looks forward to his contributions both on and off the arena floor.
“Kutter is a tremendous addition to our team,” Peterson said. “Not only is he a gifted athlete, but he also has a strong work ethic and a great attitude. We are confident that he will excel in both his studies and his rodeo events. We’re excited to see what he can accomplish as a Lancer.”
Acord’s addition to the team further strengthens EWC’s commitment to fostering talented student-athletes who excel in both academics and athletics. He is looking forward to competing at the collegiate level while continuing to develop his skills in the rodeo arena.
