Men's basketball eases by Eagles

The Eastern Wyoming College men's basketball team earned its second straight 20-point home win Wednesday night.

The Lancers (12-12 overall, 2-7 in Region IX North) cruised to an 86-61 Region IX-North victory behind a total-team effort that out-performed Laramie County Community College across the box score.

Ten Lancers combined to score their most points in over a month on 64.9% shotting from the field, including 45.5% on 3-pointers (10-for-22). They outshot, out-rebounded, out-assisted the Golden Eagles.

Sophomore guard Jonatan Arvidsson shot 12-for-14 to score a game-high 25 points. Sophomore forward David Hook was an assist shy of a triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Arvidsson and sophomore guard Earl Baker each had four assists. 

Freshman guard Carter Berish shot 3-of-4 on threes for nine points, while adding four rebounds, a steal and an assist. 

EWC beat Northwest 90-68 on Feb. 1.
