The National Junior College Athletic Association has announced the 2019-2020 Academic Teams of the Year.
The Eastern Wyoming College men's basketball was 7th in the country with a 3.31 GPA.
The EWC women's basketball team was 8th in the country with a 3.54 GPA.
The Lancer volleyball and golf teams both made the list at 40th. Volleyball with a 3.43 GPA and Golf with a 3.21 GPA.
"It is a great tribute to our student-athletes and our coaches to achieve these results," shared EWC Athletic Director and Women's Basketball Coach Tom Andersen. "EWC and the entire community can be extremely proud of the accomplishments of these student-athletes. This also is a result of the entire EWC community from faculty and staff for their work and encouragement for our student-athletes. EWC athletes and coaches are doing a tremendous job of providing high-class competitiveness in competition and in the classroom. Congratulations."
