Eastern Wyoming College basketball player Marko Krtinic has signed to play next season at Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina.

"It should be a great opportunity for me to compete on a higher level," Krtinic said. "Barton College also has a strong business program, which is (as a business major) important for me."

The 6'7" forward from Indjija, Serbia has been a key player in the Lancer's program the last two years, both on and off the court.

Besides basketball, Krtinic was a member of EWC's winning Wyoming Collegiate Business Ethics Case Competition team.

Krtinic said his time at EWC was a "great experience" giving him an opportunity to grow as "a person and player."

"I am very thankful to everyone who made this (his time at EWC and moving on to Barton College) possible. I thank my family, my girlfriend, friends, coaches, and faculty," he said. "Barton College was a perfect fit."
