Lancers win three in a row

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf team won the third tournament of the season making it three in a row for the young team.  EWC had a two-day team total of 592 which was 13 strokes ahead of second place McCook at the annual NJC tournament.

"I am very pleased that all seven of our student-athletes have contributed and step-up to help the team," shared Coach Zach Smith.  "There is good team chemistry.  We have seven guys and travel with six.  That seventh man has always rooted the team on and checked in with the team to see how they are doing.  That says a lot for these young men and shows you what great individuals they are."

Individual scores for the Lancers were as follows:
Adrian Torres, freshman, Madrid, Spain – 145, tied 2nd
Logan Harrison, sophomore, Cheyenne, WY – 148, 5th
Ryder Velasquez, freshman, South Ogden, UT – 150, tied 6th
Jaydn Wayment, freshman, Ogden, UT – 150, tied 6th
Eric Lovell, freshman, Greeley, CO – 152, tied 8th

This week the Lancers will travel to Lamar, Colorado.
