Leading the Lancers was freshman Harry Walch, Staines, England with a two-day total of 142, shooting 71 each day.

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf Team won the Northeastern Junior College tournament held in Sterling, CO this past weekend.  The Lancers posted a two-day score of 602 which was seven strokes in front of second place McCook Community College who shot 609.

Leading the Lancers was freshman Calum Giffen who won the individual title with a score of 143, three strokes ahead of the second place individual.  Giffen is from Kelty, Scotland.  Other scores for the Lancers were as follows:

Arvy Shongwe, freshman, Ezulwini, Swaziland – 150, tied 4th
Denton Shaw, sophomore, Lusk, WY – 153, tied 9th
Jared Pilkington, freshman, Scottsbluff, NE – 156
Harry Walch, freshman, Staines, England – 157

"Calum and I joked before the round on Friday that since it was cooler and pretty windy that he should feel like he was back at home in Scotland and play well. I didn't expect him to shoot 67 but I was very excited to see that score from him and couldn't be more happy for the freshmen golfer," shared Coach Zach Smith.  "We were tied for second going into day 2 so it was great to get away with a 7 stroke victory. Some of the guys are starting to settle in and feel more comfortable with college golf. I'm looking forward to the competition this year in Region IX."

The Lancers will travel to Lamar, Colorado for a tournament September 15 – 16.
