EWC wins home tournament

Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf team finished their spring home tournament with a win by 10 strokes. The Lancers won the tournament with a two-day score of 614. McCook Community College was second with 624.

"It was great to get a win on our home course. Luckily the weather held out the second day for us so that we could get a 2 day tournament in which hasn't happened very often this spring," said Coach Zach Smith. "I was happy to see George get the individual win. He has been playing consistently well this spring. We'll need to play our best at the final tournament in Riverton to win the Region IX championship. It should be a fun battle."

Winning the tournament individually for the Lancers was George Elliott, freshman, Salisbury, United Kingdom. He shot 73, 77 for a two-day total of 150. Other Lancer scores were as follows:
