The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Golf Team traveled to LaJunta, CO to compete in the Otero Junior College tournament September 26-27. The Lancers won the two-day tournament with a score of 566, 18 strokes in front of McCook Community College who was second with 584.

"We met our team goal of shooting par the first day of the tournament which helped get us a lead going into day 2," said Coach Zach Smith. "The second day was pretty windy for the first 9 holes so score across the board were a bit higher than day 1 scores. I was pleased to see the guys get the team win and proud of Mason's individual win. He played great golf on both days to get this first win of the season."

Sophomore Mason Hale, Atkinson, NE, shot scores of 66 and 68 to win with a total of 134. Other Lancers scores were as follows:

Tomas Kubata, freshman, Prague, Czech Republic, 69, 72 – 141, tied 2nd
