Eastern Wyoming College's Ryker Dunkley, American Fork, UT, tied for the win at the Bronco Invite, held Sept. 25-26 at Lochland Country Club in Hastings, Nebraska. Dunkley finished in a tie with Southeast Community College's Luke Strako with a score of -3.

Lancer Tytan Birchell, Roosevelt, UT, tied for eighth place with a +5. Other Lancers competing in the Bronco Invite included Leander Suttka, Josh Chapman, and Braylon Bingham. 

"It was also great to see Ryker tie for the win. He lost in the second playoff hole but overall had a great tournament," EWC head golf coach Zach Smith said. "The second day resulted in higher scoring averages for the entire field."

The Lancers finished the invite in second place with a +17, one stroke behind Hasting College's A team.

"The guys played solidly the first day to have a share of the lead and played well down the stretch on the second day but unfortunately, we fell just short of first place, taking second by 1 stroke," Smith said. "It's always heartbreaking to be that close and not win but I'm proud of the guys' effort. To walk away from an 11 team tournament field in second place is still a great accomplishment"
