The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer rodeo team competed in Riverton, WY October 1-3 at the annual rodeo hosted by Central Wyoming College.

Karissa Rayhill, a sophomore from Martin, SD continues to earn points toward her quest for a College National Finals Rodeo qualification. She split 1^st/2^nd in the first round of the goat tying, split 6^th / 7^th in the short round and finished tied for 3^rd/4^th in the average. In the barrel racing,  she split 3^rd/4^th in the first round, split 5^th/6^th in the short round and finished 4^th in the average.

Freshman Cort McBride, Meridan, WY, won the first round of the team roping with partner Bodie Herring, Casper College with a time of 6.4 seconds. They were 5^th in the short round and finished 4^th in the average.

Ty Moser, freshman, Volga, SD, was 5^th in the first round of tie down roping. He split 5^th/6^th in the short round and ended the weekend 4^th in the average.

"Karissa had a great weekend and we also had some of the women's team finish just out of the top 10," said Coach Jake Clark. "This young men's team is just getting stronger every weekend."

The Lancers will conclude their fall season October 8-10 in Lamar, CO.
