The Eastern Wyoming College women's basketball team lost its first Region IX-North game 73-65 at Sheridan Wednesday evening. 

The Lancers are now 7-8 overall and 0-1 in the North. Sub-region play continues Saturday at Northwest College in Powell.

Montse Gutierrez Ibanez led the Lancers with 14 points and six rebounds. Ana Esnal Aguirre and Mar Bastida Olivares scored 12 points each. Aguirre had a team-high six assists.
