The Eastern Wyoming College women's basketball team ran away with a 99-63 win at Northwest on Saturday.

The Lancers (8-8 overall, 1-1 Region IX-North) broke the game wide open with a lopsided 33-9 third quarter to pick up their first Region IX-North win of the season.

Eastern never trailed in Powell, and started its run late in the second quarter when a Montse Gutierrez Ibanez 3-pointer broke a 27-27 tie with 3:17 remaining in the half. The Lancers took a 38-29 lead into the lockerroom and never looked back. 

The Lancers host Region IX-North foe Gillette College at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
