For the second time in three weeks, the Eastern Wyoming College women's basketball team ran away with a double-digit win against the Northwest College Trappers.

The Lancers (12-10 overall, 5-3 Region IX-North) won 67-52 Saturday afternoon in Torrington, proving their 99-63 win in Powell on Jan. 11 was no fluke.

Freshman Ane Esnal Aguirre led all scorers with 19 points in EWC's third straight Region IX-North win. Sophomore Paula Martinez Sanz added 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Lancers led 33-22 at half and held a nine-point lead after three quarters before a 20-14 final frame put the Trappers in the rearview.

Freshmen Montse Gutierrez Ibanez and Raleigh Basart scored nine poinst each, with all of Basart's coming in the first half.

Freshman Emilia Axelsson followed her 25-point, 12-rebound performance on Wednesday with 10 rebounds, eight points and two assists on Saturday.

Eastern hosts Laramie County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
