EWC wins team roping at CWC rodeo

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Rodeo Team recently competed in the annual rodeo hosted by Central Wyoming College.  The Lancer men's team placed third.

"We didn't have very many students place but I was thrilled for our team to finish high. A couple more rodeos like that and we will be back in the game," stated Coach Jake Clark.

EWC brought home first place in the team roping with the sophomore team of Logan Milligan, Torrington, WY and Coley Nicholls, Riverton, WY.  They won the average with a total time of 15.0 seconds on two steers.  Teammates Riley Curuchet, sophomore, Kaycee, WY and Denton Shaw, sophomore, Lusk, WY were third in the first round with a time of 7.9 seconds.

Freshman Kyle Chapman, Rock Springs, WY qualified for the short round in the bareback riding.

The Lancers will conclude the fall rodeo season October 14-16 at Laramie County Community College.
