Also in the team roping, freshman Levi Walter, Wray, CO was second with his partner Cole Retchless in the short round, finishing the weekend 3rd in the average.  Sophomores Riley Curuchet, Kaycee, WY and partner Denton Shaw, Lusk, WY, tied for first in the 1st round.

Sophomore Danny Manning won 3rd in the steer wrestling with a total time of 11.3 seconds on two steers.  He was 3rd in the short round.

In the breakaway roping, freshman Tanielle Arneson, Enning, SD, was 5th in the first round and 2nd in the short round to finish the weekend in 2nd place with a total time of 5.7 seconds.  Teammate Harlee McKenney, freshman, Parker, SD qualified for the short round.

Barrel racer Baillie Mutchler, sophomore, Whitewood, SD, placed 6th.

"Our team competed well this weekend at their home rodeo," stated Coach Jake Clark.  "Team ropers stayed strong with some new teams winning this week.  Danny helped his chance for a CNFR qualification by gaining some points.  I was very pleased to see some of our freshmen women do well.  Hopefully, that continues.  We had great attendance for our rodeo and appreciate the support."

The Lancers will next travel to compete at the Colorado State University rodeo to be held April 7-9.
