Three EWC rodeo athletes qualify for short round in Sheridan

The Eastern Wyoming College Lancer Rodeo team recently returned from the annual rodeo held in Sheridan, WY where three student-athletes qualified for the short round.

Freshman Karissa Rayhill, Martin, SD, tied for 6th in the first round, placed 5th in the short round and finished the weekend 6th in the average.

In the team roping, sophomore Sutton Adams, Dell Rapids, SD and partner Cole Trainer, Central Wyoming College qualified for the short round with a time of 8.1 seconds.

Sophomore Wyatt Schuelke, Faith, SD, qualified for the short round of the steer wrestling with a time of 6.6 seconds.

The Lancers will travel to Lamar, CO to compete September 29, 30 and October 1.
