The numerous national and international recruiting contacts that he has offers a great advantage for the program.

“I have worked with several of the top volleyball clubs in the past, and they know me well,” Hamilton said. “I have been able to bring in quite a few of the top recruits from their programs. I am also good friends with Anil Dervisec who was the Head Coach of the Bosnia Senior National Team. He has access to some of the top coaches in the Baltic region to help with recruiting from this area of the world where volleyball is very strong.”

Coach Hamilton has also gained numerous contacts throughout the nation, due to his affiliation with USA Volleyball.

He is also involved with the Gold Medal Squared Volleyball. He was involved in volleyball research to help determine the average time it takes middle blockers to close a block. Hamilton used this data to time his teams’ sets to help the hitter to contact the ball before the block was closed. This data helped one of his outside hitters lead the nation in kills during the 2014 season, and she continued to rank in the top three hitters during the 2015 season.

While he was coaching at Roberts Wesleyan, the team was ranked nationally for the first time in school history and also won their first conference championship.
